For students
I forgot my PIN.
Ask your teacher or your parent — either can reset it. You then choose a new one. Nobody can see your old PIN, not even them.
Where do I start?
The first unit on your home page. They are in teaching order, so working down the list is the right way through.
Do I have to finish a unit in one go?
No. Stop whenever you like — your answers are saved and you carry on where you left off.
Why can I not open some units?
Your teacher has set a plan for your class. Units beyond it open later in the year.
What is LIY?
An English tutor you can ask questions. It only answers English questions — for anything else, ask your teacher.
Can my parents see my answers?
They see how you are doing overall and your class test scores. They do not see every question you answered.
For parents
How do I link my child?
Your child's teacher gives you a registration number and a recovery code. Enter both once on the parent page and their progress appears from then on.
What does the parent page show?
How often they have practised, how they did on class tests with the class average beside it, what the class is covering, and one thing worth asking them about.
It is empty. Is it broken?
It fills up over the first fortnight, once your child has practised and their teacher has set a test. Before that there is genuinely nothing to show.
Can I see every question they got wrong?
No, and that is deliberate. You see outcomes, not keystrokes. A child who feels watched stops using it honestly.
What do you do with my child's information?
As little as possible. No advertising, no tracking, no selling. The privacy page explains it in full.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Email us and we remove it, including their progress.
For teachers
How do I add a student?
Students tab, Add Student. You get a registration number to give them; they set their own PIN on first sign-in. Write down the recovery code — it is shown once and a parent needs it to link.
Adding a class name to a student did not put them in a class.
That field is a label only. Use Enrol on the student's row, or create the class from there with + New class.
Why does the Year Planner show every unit?
The class has no year group set. Set it on the class card and rebuild the plan — a Class 8 then gets 15 units rather than every unit.
How many questions does a unit have?
Shown on each unit button when you set a test. A short bank means a long paper will repeat.
What is the whiteboard for?
Posting text and pictures live during a lesson, so students follow on their own screens. Boards are removed after 30 days.
Can I try the app without real students?
Yes — Load demo data on any dashboard screen fills it with an example class, and one click removes it again.
